James Alexander’s yellow Jeep, quick wit and down-to-earth manner are familiar around Bream Bay. Behind that personality is a sales career that began at fifteen, along with the experience of selling property here through very different markets.

Born in East London, James began working in sales at fifteen. He entered real estate in Bream Bay in 2007, during the recession, an experience he credits with teaching him tenacity and the need to think creatively. In 2014 he moved to Rotorua, drawn by its mountain biking scene, and went on to receive recognition as Ray White Rotorua’s top salesperson before returning to Bream Bay.

His work includes coastal homes, baches, lifestyle properties and residential land across Bream Bay, including Waipu and Langs Beach. As an auctioneer, James enjoys the pace and personal connection of an auction and brings that experience to conversations about how a property could be marketed and sold.

Charlotte Daun works alongside James as part of Team James Alexander, contributing her real estate administration and campaign organisation experience. Together, they help clients through the preparation and running of their property campaigns.

James’s Ray White recognition includes Elite Performer awards from 2021/22 to 2024/25, the Tony Fountain Auction Excellence award for 2023/24 and Premier Performer for 2025/26.

Community involvement is a familiar part of James’s life. He calls charity auctions, supports local schools and takes part in community events. His contribution was recognised with the Ray White New Zealand Community Award in 2024 and the Ray White Bream Bay Community Award in 2025.
