A Proud Partnership with Canterbury Rugby
Sport is known for its far reaching benefits to communities. From providing a sense of belonging, to developing fulfilled, rounded members of society, to commerce and economy. All of these reasons (and more) contribute to why Ray White is Principal Partner of Canterbury Rugby.
Ray White’s relationship with Canterbury Rugby began in 2018. As the principal partner, our logo is proudly displayed on the front of the men’s NPC jerseys and across the back of the women’s Farah Palmer Cup (FPC) jerseys, signifying our deep commitment to the region’s rugby culture. This partnership goes beyond branding—it’s about being woven into the fabric of rugby in Canterbury from grassroots level to high performance.
"As principal partner, Ray White is with us at every step—on our marketing collateral, match-day gear, and retail apparel. It’s a partnership Canterbury Rugby is incredibly proud of," says Canterbury Rugby CEO Tony Smail.
Our recent three-year renewal of this partnership reflects our shared values of performance and leadership. Ray White New Zealand CEO Daniel Coulson adds, "Rugby holds a special place in the hearts of Cantabrians. This partnership supports not only the men’s NPC and women’s FPC competitions but also allows us to make a lasting impact at the community level."
Supporting Communities and Growing Grassroots Rugby
Community rugby is where the love of the game begins. From frosty mornings at local club days, where Ray White stands shoulder-to-shoulder with Canterbury Rugby, handing out giveaways and cheering on teams, to providing tamariki (children) the opportunity to be the ball runners at NPC games—our involvement runs deep. Being a part of these moments, from grassroots to the national stage, brings us immense pride.
It’s more than just support on game day. We’re helping to foster a sense of connection for players, families, and communities across the region. The bond created through rugby lasts a lifetime, and Ray White is honoured to be at the heart of it.
Investing in the Future of Women’s Rugby
Women’s rugby is experiencing rapid growth, with participation in Canterbury women’s club rugby increasing by 13% in 2024. Ray White is proud to help champion this growth, supporting the women’s game through our involvement with the FPC. We are inspired by the tenacity and drive of these athletes, and we are committed to helping build the pathway for future female rugby stars.
Together with Canterbury Rugby, we’re not just supporting the sport; we’re growing the game for generations to come, from the local fields to the national stage. It’s a legacy of which we are immensely proud.
