When Ben reached out to Rob to sell his Christchurch investment property, Rob knew some improvements needed to be made in order to achieve the best possible price, and he was happy to help organise all the quotes and trades for the work that needed to be done.
“The condition of the property was extremely poor due to tenant negligence and, after conducting a walk-through, I outlined the improvements needed to achieve the best possible sale outcome,” Rob said.
“Given Ben’s location on the West Coast, I offered to project manage and coordinate all the necessary trades on his behalf.
“We anticipate an estimated $100,000 lift in value, following approximately $25,000 in renovation spend.
“I met with every trade on-site, gathered quotes, and confirmed all colour schemes and finishes.
“We conducted a number of upgrades including gardening, painting, electrical work, new curtains and installing new flooring throughout.
“The transformation has been remarkable and helped Ben achieve the optimum price for his property.”
In May 2026, Rob is riding the length of the South Island, 1000km, in five days, aiming to raise $50,000 for men’s mental health.
As a thank you to Rob for his efforts, Ben made a donation towards the purchase of Rob’s road bike for the charity ride, with 99 Bikes also contributing 50 per cent off as an in-kind donation.

“My first impressions of Rob were of utmost professional, honest, and friendly. This carried on through the entire experience.
“After deciding to get rid of our rental property, we were referred to Rob by our property manager.
“The property needed a lot of work to bring back up to scratch from damage and wear and tear and living out of town made that very difficult.
“Rob recommended things we could do to improve the property and get a better price for it.
“Rob gave us an honest and realistic idea on how long it would take to sell and how much we could get for it.
“He organised tradespeople to give quotes and complete the work, from landscaping, painting, electrical work, curtains, cleaning and carpet replacement, he got it all sorted taking the hassle off us.

“We ended up selling within the time frame he mentioned and because of his suggestions on what to fix, we got far more than what was invested into repairs.
