There were 26 properties up for auction, with a total of 226 registered bidders leading to a clearance rate of 65 per cent.

“While the market slows, we lean in,” Ray White Manukau, Manurewa, Mangere and Mangere Bridge CEO Adam Thomson said.

“These December auctions give sellers clarity heading into the new year - a result locked in, a plan in place, and no uncertainty hanging over the holiday period.”

“People are always surprised by the strength of these events. Our auction room was full from 9am to 3pm - proof that buyers remain active, even in the busiest weeks of the year.”

The top sale price of the day was $1.3 million, with two standout properties reaching the top price.

The first property was 15 Crannich Place, Wattle Downs which was marketed by Sam Steel and Brett Norris, and the second was 37 Court Crescent, Panmure, marketed by Steven Liang.

Another stand out auction was for 88 Gadsby Road, Favona, marketed by Phuong Nguyen and Florence Tran, which saw a whopping 56 bids before selling under the hammer for $685,000.

Ray White Manukau, Manurewa, Mangere and Mangere Bridge director Tom Rawson said it was a pleasure to help buyers and sellers transact before the holidays.

“More than 200 cash buyers left without securing a property. Demand isn’t slowing; now it’s our team's job to help those buyers find their next home,” he said.

“The overriding feeling from vendors was relief - achieving an unconditional sale before the holidays gives them certainty and space to enjoy the break.”
