Gavels continue to fall across Auckland in Alert Level 3

Alert Level 3 in Auckland still shows no sign of slowing down the raucous property market as gavels continued to fall across multiple suburbs to produce some exceptional results.

“The people of New Zealand have become well accustomed to buying property from remote locations, and instead of acting as an obstacle or a hindrance, buyers are actually embracing the ability to buy from home,” said Ray White New Zealand Lead Auctioneer John Bowring (above).

The biggest sale came via Ray White Pakuranga Salespeople Michael Ellse and Victoria Cater-Ellse as they sold 1/36 Highland Park Drive (below) in Highland Park for $1.07 million.

“We had huge interest in the property right from the start with over 40 buyer appointments and multiple buyer revisits in the first weekend, and that led to a pre-auction offer being received and accepted, with the planned 22 February auction being brought forward,” Mr Ellse said.

“Yesterday, we had seven registered buyers – six of whom actively bid – with the pre-auction starting at $880,000 and strong competition pushing the sale price up to $1.07 million.”

Arguably the stand-out sale belonged to Ray White Mission Bay Salespeople Jayne Kiely and Ricky Cave as they sold 20A Waddell Avenue (below) in Point England for $1.101 million.
