Mt Eden auctions see flurry of activity
Ray White Mt Eden sold more than $13 million in property at their in-room auctions yesterday, with nine properties going under the hammer.
With six properties sold on the day, they recorded a clearance rate of 66.67 per cent.
Ray White Mt Eden principal Jared Cooksley said the strong results they were seeing at auctions signified the confidence returning to the property market.
“We continue to see strong engagement across our auctions, with competitive bidding and solid results confirming the confidence buyers have in well-presented, quality homes,” Mr Cooksley said.
“When the right strategy is in place, the market responds — and this week was a great example of that.
“We continue to see our post-auction clearance rate sitting at 80 per cent. This along with the energy witnessed in the auction room this week shows the momentum building in the lead up to Easter and beyond.”
The top result of the day, both for sale price and number of bidders, went to Ray White Mt Eden agent Dean Tuffley who sold 127 Wheturangi Road, Greenlane under the hammer for $3.32 million. With Ray White auctioneer John Bowring on the gavel, the property recorded a whopping 11 registered bidders with a range of interest from families looking to occupy, renovators, and investors.
"Prime sites like 127 Wheturangi Road in Greenlane continue to exceed expectations in terms of sale price, and this campaign was no different,” Mr Tuffley said.
“With 11 registered bidders, there was a flurry of activity meaning buyer demand continues to outstrip supply. This means 10 eager buyers are still looking for their perfect property in Greenlane.
“I’m thrilled with the result and thank my vendor for the opportunity.”
