“When we moved into Level Four lockdown the vehicle was no use to us so we approached Four Square with a view to offering her as a delivery vehicle,” Mr Tierney said.
“We have a lot of older residents in our community and we thought what better way to give something back than to offer a vehicle free of charge to carry out deliveries for those in need.
“So, we struck up the partnership with Four Square and they subsequently hired some drivers and more than 200 deliveries have been completed since.”
“It’s wonderful we’ve been able to do something positive for a community we genuinely love during one of the town’s most difficult periods,” Mr Weeks said.
“We’ve all been a part of the difficulty of lockdowns and for our little Daisy-Rae to be a ray of hope for some people is actually quite humbling.
“She’ll continue with her great work of delivering groceries in a contactless manner while we’re in Level 3 and perhaps beyond.”
