Shastrika moved to South Auckland as a child and wouldn’t call anywhere else home. Growing up in Papatoetoe, she has an intrinsic connection not just to the area and its surrounding suburbs, but to the people as well.

Fluent in both English and Hindi, Shastrika has embedded herself in her local cultural group that she regularly attends and helps set up.
