More than $8.8 million worth of property was sold as part of the in-room event.

The top result went to agents Peter and Dina Vink who sold 29 Waetford Road, Matapouri, under the hammer for $3.125 million, with four registered bidders.

Another standout auction went to Wendy Forshaw who sold 8c Elizabeth Street, Kensington, under the hammer for $475,000 after three bidders competed for the property with a total of 18 bids.

Ray White Whangarei’s newly appointed rural lead, Troy Barrell, achieved a significant career milestone, successfully selling his first property under the hammer.

The 56-hectare grazing property at Knight Road, Ruatangata sold under the hammer for $1.85 million with three registered and two active bidders.

“Growing up rurally and working across different farming systems has given me a deep understanding of what makes a farm valuable,” Mr Barrell said.

“I’m proud to bring that experience into real estate and to help owners get the best result when they sell.”

Ray White Whangarei director Rod Parkinson said the auction day was a great success.

“It was another fantastic auction day, with strong results across a variety of property types - from rural grazing blocks to coastal multi-million-dollar homes, plus high interest in units and residential properties,” Mr Parkinson said.

“Today, 88 per cent of homes with bidding sold, and the properties sold by auction achieved an average of just 23 days on market - less than half the Whangarei District average - while still driving a price premium.

“Pre-Christmas confidence and urgency are clearly in the market, and we head into another busy auction next week with 19 properties up for sale, including the stunning property at 51 Lamont Drive, Kamo, with a low advertised reserve of $1.2 million.

“We’re proud to continue getting our clients more - more exposure, more interest, and more results.

“For the market, today’s results show that sellers who trust the auction process are rewarded - properties are selling faster, with low days on market, and achieving price premiums.

“It demonstrates the confidence buyers have in the auction system and the strong demand across all property types.”
