Auctions volumes rise as spring inches closer
Auction volumes continue to improve, with Ray White New Zealand scheduling 137 auctions last week, up 57.3 per cent on the same time last year.
The top result of the week went to Ray White Glenfield agent Liz Mole and Ray White Kingsland agent Keri Ropati who sold 26 Nottingham Street, Westmere, Auckland City, under the hammer for $3.355 million.
Ray White New Zealand auctioneer Ben East (pictured above) called the auction.
The highest number of registered bidders at a Ray White New Zealand auction last week was nine, with 50A Priestley Drive, Bucklands Beach, Manukau City, attracting nine registered bidders and three active bidders.
With auctioneer Ben East on the gavel once again, the property sold under the hammer for $1.311 million.
Listing agent Vish Arora said the buyers were a couple who planned to keep the home as an investment. He said the sellers had lived there for about six years and were upsizing.
“It’s an entry level zone in a top school zone,” Mr Arora said.
“The majority of buyers were homeowners with a few investors.
“We had about 65 groups through the home throughout the three week campaign.
“The sold price surpassed the vendors’ expectations and they were really happy with the result.”
