Clearance rates on the rise at Ray White New Zealand auctions
Ray White New Zealand recorded a 59.2 per cent all sold clearance rate last week, up 20.27 per cent year on year.
An auction at 2/201 Abbotts Way, Remuera, Auckland City, attracted 10 registered bidders and five active bidders, selling under the hammer for $1.433 million, with Ray White Remuera auctioneer John Bowring calling the auction.
The property was marketed by Ray White Remuera sibling team Ben Ryken and Matt Ryken on behalf of the vendors, a family who had owned the home for a decade but were relocating to be closer to family.
The winning bid went to a young couple who were upsizing.
“There’s a lack of four bedroom homes at this price point where buyers can purchase something for under $1.5 million,” Ben Ryken said.
“It was a good solid home and the majority of buyers were families.
“In the last month there’s been a resurgence of buyers and with more people through the open homes, more offers coming through, and more activity in the market in general.”
