Mr Brain brings 36 years of industry experience to the shareholding. He began his real estate career in 1990 at the Ray White corporate office in Victoria before moving into sales in 1991. After relocating to New Zealand in 1995 and spending time with another company, he rejoined Ray White in 2000 and has now been aligned with the business for more than two decades.
“Becoming a shareholder is a very proud moment,” Mr Brain said.
“I have known Craig Smith for over 30 years and Len Day for approximately 25 years, and to now become part of a business they have grown so successfully is incredibly meaningful.
“Having both Craig and Len place their trust in me to help take the business to the next level is something I truly value.”
Looking ahead, Mr Brain said his focus was firmly on growth.
“My primary focus over the next 12 months is growth, both internally and externally. I am committed to strengthening the business and positioning the Ray White Austar Group as the dominant real estate group in West Auckland.”
Mr Sethi, who will continue in his role as head of technology and digital growth at Ray White Austar Realty, has been part of the Ray White network in New Zealand for 11 years, starting in 2014 at the age of 19 after arriving as an international student.
From flyer dropping in a South Auckland office to leading digital strategy across the Austar group, his journey has spanned database management, automation, CRM implementation and innovation projects nationwide.
“Becoming a shareholder is both humbling and deeply meaningful,” Mr Sethi said.
“For me personally, it’s a full circle moment. From starting in a junior support role to now having equity in the business; it reinforces that hard work, honesty, and loyalty to the brand truly matters.
“It’s not about a title, it’s about responsibility. Responsibility to protect the culture, strengthen the systems, and help drive the next phase of growth for our people at Austar Realty.”
